What did fools do?

What did you like about my blog?

How could I improve my blog?

What weapons and punishments were in the castle?

Some peoples punishments were getting your head cut off and put on a pike that sounds like it was scary. Some other punishments were you get put in a pillory. You could also get put in a pillory for your fingers. Another punishment was you could get hung. Also there was a punishment called duck which is were you sit in a chair and you get put under water until you drown. I wouldn't want to do that.

The weapons guards used to defend the castles were long bows and cross bows. They also had fire pots which they would drop on intruders to burn and kill them. May I say ouch. The castle had slits in the wall where guards would shoot people through. The people who made the slits must have been smart.

What was the castles enviroment like?

Many castles were built on high ground so people could see if intruders were coming better. That's a good idea. Also it could help for defense. Castles also have moats to protect them. The castles weakest point was the gate

At night the gate was completely closed. When you go through the gates you enter the outer bailey. There were rooms inside for knights, horses, and other stuff. The hoses must have been happy. Also it may have been the site that held engines.

How did the castles function?

Castles supported knights. The caste1 provided a base for the nights to plan on how to strike an enemy. Castles were also a refuge for civilians who needed a place to live. That is nice. Castles were also very sophisticated.

Castles were not purely military some of them doubled as manor houses. I would like to live in one. When the lords were away they entrusted their castle to the lords officials. The castle was also a important logistical center. The people who worked there must of had good plans.

What kind of entertainment was there?

A type of entertainment nights did for people was jousting fights. That is when the nights get on horses and run at each other with sharp poles, ouch. Knights also played a game like soccer but it is called bandyball it sounds like fun. They played that after a feast. There were also fools who walked around and entertained people. They carried around rattles with them.

The people that lived in the castle played a lot of games. Some of them are dice games, chess, and arm wrestleing. They also played games with animals. Some of them were bear baiting which was a dog had to try to scare a bear. Also chicken fighting which was chickens fighting. I think that is not right.
